If it were MY project, here's what I would do: Physically install the new drive as a slave to the old one. Boot from the old drive and use WinXP's Disk Management to partition and format the new drive the way you want it. Then open a "DOS" window and use Xcopy.exe to copy everything from the old drive to the new.
